Megaxidin Disinfectant

General Information

Megaxidin is a ready-to-use disinfectant presented as a colorless, clear or slightly opalescent liquid, odorless or with a faint characteristic smell.

Composition:

• Chlorhexidine бигluconate — 0.05%
• Purified water — up to 100%

Packaging:
Available in polymer bottles of  100 ml with screw caps or spray nozzles.

Properties:
The product has:

• bactericidal activity
• virucidal activity (including viruses causing hepatitis, poliomyelitis, ECHO, Coxsackie, rotavirus infections, etc.)
• fungicidal activity (against Candida species)

According to GOST 12.1.007-76, it belongs to hazard class 4 (low hazard substances). When used as directed, it does not cause skin irritation or allergic reactions.

• surgical hand antisepsis

Directions for Use

Hygienic Hand Treatment

Apply 3 ml to hands and rub into the skin for at least 30 seconds until completely dry.

Surgical Hand Treatment

1. Wash hands and forearms with soap for 2 minutes
2. Dry with a sterile wipe
3. Apply 5 ml and rub for 2.5 minutes
4. Reapply 5 ml and rub for another 2.5 minutes

Total treatment time: 5 minutes
Wear sterile gloves only after complete drying.

Treatment of Surgical and Injection Sites

Wipe the skin twice using sterile swabs soaked in the product.
Exposure time: 2 minutes

Injection Site Treatment

Wipe with a sterile swab.
Exposure time: 30 seconds

Donor Elbow Treatment

Treat twice with a 15-second interval.
Exposure time: 30 seconds

Instrument Disinfection

• Fully immerse immediately after use
• Fill channels and cavities
• Exposure time: 5 minutes
• Rinse with running water for at least 1 minute

Surface Disinfection

Wipe surfaces using 100 ml/m².
No rinsing required.

Disinfection time:

• medical areas — 5 minutes
• public areas — 5 minutes
• saunas, pools, baths — 15 minutes

Precautions

• For external use only
• Avoid contact with eyes

First Aid Measures

• In case of eye contact: rinse thoroughly with water, seek medical attention if necessary
• If swallowed: drink water with activated charcoal (10–15 tablets), do not induce vomiting, consult a doctor

Storage Conditions

• Store at 0°C to +25°C
• Keep away from direct sunlight
• Keep out of reach of children

Shelf life: 3 years (in unopened original packaging)
