In what cases is it possible to return or exchange food products?
According to paragraphs 1-1 and 2 of Article 30 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Consumer Rights Protection", food products are subject to return or exchange in case of sale of expired goods or detection of defects by the consumer, namely:
- unfit for food goods;
- factory marriage;
- product that does not match the name and description;
- expired product;
- goods delivered with broken, damaged packaging.
If everything is in order with the packaging, period and presentation, then the food product of proper quality is not subject to return or exchange.
In what cases can I return or exchange a non-food item if the product is of proper quality?
You can return the goods with a 100% guarantee, which are legally subject to return, if it was not in use, its presentation, consumer properties, seals, labels, as well as a document confirming the purchase of the goods, are preserved within fourteen calendar days, except for the list of non-food products that are not suitable for exchange and return according to paragraph 1 of Article 30 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 4, 2010 No. 274-IV "On Consumer Rights Protection",).
